Borussia Dortmund U23 head coach Jan Siewert has left Borussia Dortmund to manage Premier League club Huddersfield Town, as announced in the club's official website.

The 36-year-old coach follows the footsteps of former Dortmund U23 boss David Wagner who has recently had his contract mutually terminated by The Terriers.

This is the second time that club owner and chairman Dean Hoyle employed the BVB's second-string coach as the head coach of the team.

David Wagner has actually had such amazing records with Huddersfield.

The former BVB man came to John Smith's Stadium in 2015 when Huddersfield were struggling down the table in the Championship. Wagner managed to save the club from relegation and by the next season, he managed to bring the Terriers to a promotion.

They managed to stay in the Premier League last season, but this season may just not be their season. Wagner found his team at the bottom of the table after 22 matches and left the club by mutual term.

Despite that, the future still seems bright for Wagner as he has shown to be able to work with very limited resources and great adversity. We'll probably be seeing the German coach working at a big club someday.

Meanwhile, for Borussia Dortmund U23, coach Alen Terzic will take over on an interim basis.
