Atletico Madrid are set to snap up Spain international striker Alvaro Morata from Chelsea on loan initially with an option to buy in the summer, as reported by The Mirror.
The Spaniard has been looking to end his disappointing spell at the London club and he's finally getting what he wanted.
Alvaro Morata actually started his footballing journey through the youth ranks of Atletico before jumping ship to arch-rivals Real Madrid.
Morata's exit imminent exit is also a big sign that AC Milan's Argentinian striker Gonzalo Higuain could join soon. The former Real Madrid and Napoli striker have been linked with a move to join Maurizio Sarri's side on loan and both parties are set to complete the deal.
Gazzetta dello Sport reporter Nicolo Schira has described the loan transfer as a "done deal" and says Morata will sign papers on Monday.
The deal is reported to be a loan move with an option to make the stay permanent for around €55million (£48.6million).
Alvaro Morata has been in such an uninspiring form since joining Chelsea last season and he has received very harsh criticisms for it.
Morata, 26, has appeared in 24 occasions so far for the Blues with 9 goals to his name. Surely could have been much better.
