  • AC Milan in advanced talks with PSV Eindhoven danger man

Serie A side AC Milan are currently in advanced talks with Netherlands international Steven Bergwijn who is currently plying his trade at PSV Eindhoven, according to reports in Italy.

AC Milan are expected to hijack Liverpool and Manchester United to the signing of the quick-footed wide man (via The Daily Star).

The Dutch-Surinamese winger has been impressing many European clubs and it seemed like Liverpool and Manchester United have been following him for some time now and ready to launch a bid.

The Red Devils have been reported to be set to test the Eredivisie leaders' resolve with a £25million bid, meanwhile, AC Milan are going with a six-month loan bid with a view to sign him in the summer for around £18million.

TeleRadioStereo and Antenna 3 transfer pundit, Davide Russo, said that Il Rossoneri are in 'advanced talks' with Steven Bergwijn (via Sempre Milan).

Despite that statement though, PSV Eindhoven may not be willing to sell their key player for less than £25million.

Bidding wars may come very soon and prices may go up, but the player himself has stated that he is content where he is right now and is very focused on the task at hand.

    He said in an interview:

I am not concerned with big clubs or with rumours about interest,
I have remained with PSV this summer because I want to continue the line here to the end of the season.

Steven Bergwijn has been in a majestic form this season with 10 goals and 9 assists credited to his name in a total of 25 appearances across all competitions for the Rood-witten.
